South Carolina Offshore Fishing Report:
Carolina Offshore Fishing Report: 5-12-08 Wow, the offshore fishing is just unbelievable! The amount of dolphin being caught is fantastic. We are catching 17 nice size dolphins on a slow day and the busy days we are catching 40+. These fish are not small either. I just cannot wait to go again!
Carolina Offshore Fishing Report: 5-08 Yeah, spring has sprung! The offshore season has begun with all the pelagics moving our way. Past few weeks we have been landing good catches of blackfin tuna, wahoo, dolphin, & a few yellowfin tuna.
The trend will even improve until June. I hope to see even more nice catches throughout the month with more yellowfin and dolphin.
If you are waiting to book a trip ? THE TIME is NOW!
Carolina Offshore Fishing Report: 1-15-08 The fish are biting offshore as well: blue fin tuna, wahoo, and snapper and grouper. Since the weather is a little chilly does not mean offshore fishing is at a standstill. Just last week we were off Cape Fear and catching king mackerel in January!
The usual offshore trip this time of year usually consist of going after giant blue fin tuna in the morning and moving further offshore later in the day to capture wahoo or a few bottom dwellers: snapper or grouper. It?s a fun and rewarding mixed bag. You just need to get over that its winter and there are no fish. That mind frame is just false and there is still a lot of fish in the sea.
Do not believe me! Just call and I will be glad to prove you wrong.
Carolina Offshore Fishing Report: 11-19-07 Good news, the blue fin tuna have been spotted off Little River. We are planning and booking trips just to target these beautiful monsters. We will start blue fining December 1. Hooking up to a blue fin is truly an experience of a life time. These fish average about 350 pounds and can reach over 700.
If a blue fin is not for you, the king mackerel are still plentiful and are lot of fun. You can easily catch 30+ fish a day. It is possible to do both species in one day.
